Riverside Research is seeking a Portfolio Analyst to provide business operations and professional support to the DIU Cyber Portfolio.  The Portfolio Analyst will support the Portfolio Director's core DIU mission in acting as an interface between the DOD, entrepreneurs, start-up firms, and commercial technology companies to increase DOD access to leading edge commercial technologies, processes and technical talent. 

Location: 

Location is flexible, but ideally the California Bay area, Boston, Austin, Chicago, or other tech hub (offers telework / hybrid options).

Responsibilities

  • Provide business operations and professional support services to the Portfolio Director and team of Cyber Program Managers and Commercial Engagement team
  • Support the Portfolio Director and core DIU mission in acting as an interface between the DoD, entrepreneurs, venture communities, and commercial technology companies
  • Develop and maintain high-level knowledge on projects across the portfolio and assist the Director and PMs in managing the project pipeline and other initiatives
  • Support DIU’s acquisition processes and review and evaluate commercial prototype proposals
  • Conduct market research and engage with the commercial sector identify emerging technologies
  • Collaborate with the Director and DIU Strategic Communications Team to more develop products that effectively communicate successes across the DoD and other affiliated organizations
  • Support project curation and execution in collaboration with PMs and other teams as needed
  • Support content curation for the Portfolio and DIU marketing, including technical writing, draft and editing of presentations, reports, project summaries and achievements, meeting minutes, and white papers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience in research, analytical or project management role
  • Passion for emerging IT/cybersecurity technologies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present complex content clearly and simply, tailored to diverse audiences
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proactively lead projects through completion
  • Ability to gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data points and produce targeted messaging and key points succinctly
  • Interest in working as part of a distributed team driven by innovation and self-motivation
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong working relationships to achieve business goals
  • Proven success at managing competing priorities
  • Experience with MS Tools, Google Suite, and other collaboration tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance


Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree 
  • 5+ additional years of experience in research, analytical or project management role
