DC Security Specialist, AWS DC Security

Job summary
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking to hire a highly motivated, customer-obsessed individual to provide hands-on support to our Data Center Security Operations across the NRT Cluster. (Data Center Security Specialist)

The successful candidate will support the Security Program Managers (SPM) within the Data Center Physical Security Team. (DC Security Team) You will support the SPMs with the security system installation projects at the Amazon Data Centers in accordance to the AWS security policies and standards. You will assist in the on-boarding of security contractors, liaise with the contract security guard force (CGF) and DC Operation partners, and participate in the testing and commissioning of the security systems. You will learn new skills and build relationships with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the security posture of our Data Centers. **Duties and Responsibilities**

* Assist SPMs in procurement: Work order execution, submission of requisition request, PO issuance, and invoice validation.
* Track procurement activities purchase requests and purchase orders and ensure their delivery and completion
* On-boarding (provision of Amazon laptop as needed), training, and off-boarding of security vendor resources
* Participate in security system installation project meetings with DC security managers, security vendors, DC operations and other stakeholders with the SPM or on behalf of the SPM
* Managing security retrofit projects with procedures defined: alarm input installation for Clarke device, CICO security reader installation, Door latch alarm installation, etc
* Assist SPM in the internal audit reviews for post project delivery
* Assist SPM on managing security devices inventory and replenishment of spare parts using internal database (Garden tool)
* Documentation and report writing on project status
* Compiling as-built drawings of completed projects
* Troubleshooting security system malfunctions (Card readers, CCTV Cameras, and NVR etc)

*Basic qualifications*

* Administration using Microsoft office, and web-based portals
* Attention to details in document writing, reviews, and cross referencing data
* Basic understanding of IT terminologies and principles

*Preferred qualifications*

* 1+years of work experience in a professional environment
* Knowledge/work experience with computer components, and hardware
* Knowledge/work experience with fiber network and IP address
* Graduate of Electronics Diploma or any Bachelor of Science Degree
* Knowledge in Project Management
* Knowledge in CAD or any drafting tools
* Basic Knowledge in Physical Security Architecture (ACS, IDS and CCTV)
* English and Japanese Language capability

Basic Qualifications

· Business level English language to read, write, and speak.
· Basic understanding of project management principles.
· Basic understanding of current Security technology including Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, and other special applications.
· Basic understanding of procurement process in a corporate environment
· Strong attention to detail
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
· History of driving operation quality through KPI’s (a proven track record of improving or developing new KPI’s would be a plus)
· Familiarity with clean code principles
· Familiar with some method of version control (git)
· Experience with a scripting language (Python / Bash)
· Basic knowledge of statistics
· scripting - (bash, and/or python)
· excel - a necessary evil for a data analyst

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelors degree with GPA 3.0 and above in a technical field would have an advantage
· Business level Japanese Language · Understanding of the Japanese local fire regulations
· Familiarity with FISC Security Guidelines
· Basic understanding of financial control in physical security related spending
· Javascript
· Familiar with Information Protocols and their package types
· Configuration file management
· Log management
· API creation
· Code ‘rout’ control (back end web development)
· Object oriented code design
· Database management
· Linux administration(server administration / ACL control / firewall management / log control / linux network trouble shooting)
· Kinesis - an AWS API which allows one to gather data from IoT devices and other unusual sources
· sklearn - machine learning code library with extensive documentation
· matplotlib - code library for data visualization
· Web Development with Python / Java / C# both front end and back end
· Basic knowledge of linear algebra
· Experience working with JSON
· pytest - a library for testing python
· customer service experience - an ability to empathize with the customer to ensure we are testing that our code always delivers the expected results
