As a Senior Operational Technology Cyber Security Specialist you'll be at the forefront of protecting our critical operational technology environment, ensuring that Powerlink and its customers enjoy uninterrupted service 24/7. Your expertise will be pivotal in identifying and managing cyber security risks, fostering awareness, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

 

You will play a pivotal role in fostering collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders. By cultivating strong relationships, you'll provide expert cyber security advice that not only safeguards our operations but also ensures mutual business success. Your ability to bridge gaps and communicate effectively will be essential in aligning cyber security strategies with overarching business goals.

 

In addition to proactive relationship-building, you'll take charge of Situational Awareness activities, maintaining a deep understanding of our Operational Technology Environment. By staying vigilant and informed, you'll anticipate potential threats and vulnerabilities, enabling pre-emptive measures to protect our critical infrastructure.

 

By staying proactive and responsive, you'll ensure that team objectives are not only met but exceeded, driving excellence in cyber security practices across the organisation.

Based in our Virginia office, reporting into the OT Cyber Security Team Leader, be part of a dedicated group safeguarding critical infrastructure. Together, we cultivate a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning, ensuring the highest standards of cyber security. With a focus on innovation and proactive defence, we're committed to protecting our operations and ensuring uninterrupted service for our customers.

Your expertise

 

  • Degree level qualifications in Engineering, or Information Technology; or significant professional experience in relevant cyber security fields;
  • Cyber security industry accreditations (e.g.: CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, GIAC).

 

 

We’d also love you to have:

 

  • Proven ability to perform in-depth analysis of advanced threats, including log correlations, static and dynamic analysis, reverse engineering and network forensics.
  • Proven ability to support investigation & resolution of incidents and breaches from a range of security incidents and disciplines.
  • Demonstrated hands on experience with the following: UNIX/Linux based operating systems; Windows based operating systems, virtual environments, IP network security, endpoint security, system forensic and analysis tools such as Splunk.
  • Considerable demonstrated ability to participate in medium to large scale Information/Operational Technology solution integration projects.
