Job Description

• POSITION TITLE (ENGLISH):  Information Security Analyst (L1 SOC)
• REPORTING TO: Manager                                         
• REPORTING LOCATION: Bangalore

SUMMARY OF POSITION AND OBJECTIVES: 

In this position, the expectation is to monitor and analyse cyber-security events using SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus and endpoint detection & response solutions, execute SOC procedures as well as triage security events, incidents, detect anomalies, and report remediation actions. Part of duties will be to ensure completeness of the incident information and assist in the analysis of phishing emails reported by internal end-users. Also, need to escalate incidents to be handled to L2 SOC team, when relevant and triage on general information security tickets.

POSITION & OBJECTIVES: 

Eurofins is ramping up the Security Operations Center and has a need to extend the L1 incident response team. The person working in L1 SOC team operates the security monitoring solutions, reacting timely to security events as identified.

Job Description:

• Monitoring and analysis of cyber security events with the use of (SIEM), antivirus and other tools.
• Execution of SOC procedures
• Triage security events and incidents, detect anomalies, and report remediation actions.
• Ensure completeness of the incident information.
• Analysis of phishing emails reported by internal end users.
• Escalation of incidents to be handled to L2 SOC team, when relevant.
• Follow up on remediation activities
• Triage on general information security tickets.

Technical Knowledge:

• An ideal candidate should have experience working with SIEM, SOAR and other security alerting tools, considering incident investigation.
• Be able to perform end to end phishing analysis with clear indication to possible threats and remediation.

• Open and eager to learn company policies and processes.
• Keen on entering the information security world and developing oneself in that direction.
• Reliability and overall good communication skills.
• Well developed, logical thinking capabilities, in order to be able to investigate cases.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: (maximum 500 characters (not including spaces) for short position posting and for posting on Eurofins website and career portals)

• BE/B.Tech/MCA or any other equivalent degree.
• Graduates with knowledge in Information Security and any related certifications.
• 3-6 years of experience in IT Security or Infrastructure and Operations.
