Security Engineer III - Python, AWS

As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and technology Controls team, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives

Job responsibilities

• Engages and improves the whole lifecycle of services - from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement
• Develops, test, deploys, maintain and enhance software/tooling solutions
• Manages individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Performs design and code reviews
• Develops and builds solutions relating to Cloud Environment Governance and Protection, Auditing, Monitoring, Remediation and Reporting 
• Designs, develops and improves services to scale as the firm's cloud usage grows. 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Proficiency and hands-on experience in AWS services, including Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, EKS, etc
• Practical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience in developing enterprise software and proficiency in Python
• CI/CD experience utilizing tools such as Github, Jenkins etc.
• Experience with development methodologies, e.g. Agile
• Work independently and collaborate within a team to develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Savvy Cybersecurity knowledge
• Experience with Azure, GCP or other Public Cloud environments is a plus.
• Cloud Certifications including AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate
